Chocolate Cherry Almond Oatmeal Balls

by Emily

Chocolate Cherry Almond Oatmeal Balls are a sweet protein snack perfect for on the go. This variation of my oatmeal balls was inspired by some dried cherries I found at Aldi. Dried fruit a great way to get some fruit in your diet when they not in season and they pair heavenly with chocolate and almond butter. These oatmeal balls are super creamy with a little crunch from the almonds. You get most of the sweetness from the dried cherries and chocolate chips, I added just a little agave syrup to make them more decadent.

If you are following a Plant Based lifestyle these are perfect as most of the ingredients come from whole plant foods. The exception is the chocolate chips which you could omit and add in some cacao powder and still get a chocolatey taste. Besides being delicious this Recipe is Dairy Free and Gluten Free.
