Buffalo Cannellini Bean Hummus Dip Recipe

A oil free vegan buffalo hummus recipe made with creamy cannellini white beans perfect with veggies or on a wrap.

It might be fair to say that I really like buffalo flavor. I’m not sure what it is.. the little spicy kick without being too much or if we are being honest probably the salt. Let’s talk about this Buffalo Cannellini Bean Hummus. It’s quick and easy to make. It’s vegan and oil free with just a handful of plant based ingredients. It makes a great snack with some veggies or crackers. Use it as a spread on wraps or sandwiches. You could even use this hummus as a base to make a quick salad dressing. Honestly what is not to love. Did I mention it’s quick to make, see the video below and you will see what I mean. 

You can use a food processor or a high speed blender to make this recipe. I tried it in both of mine and it came out creamy and delicious. For the roasted red peppers in the recipe I used the Trader Joe’s brand fire roasted red peppers about 1/2 the jar with no liquid. If you are fancier than me you could roast your own red pepper, I would use about 1/2 a pepper.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cannellini beans 15 oz
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp Red Hot
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 oz Roasted Red Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • green onion optional garnish

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse beans.

  2. Add all ingredients to a food processor or high speed blender and mix until smooth.
