Simple Chia Pudding Recipe

by Emily

Chia seed pudding is a staple recipe. It’s easy to make and is ideal for making ahead of time or meal prepping. It is simple; you don’t need any far out ingredients, just a few basics. It is customizable, as the core recipe is the same but it can be spiced up with fruit, nuts, other seeds, spices and more. Best of all it is a yummy breakfast or sweet treat.

Chia seeds are high in protein, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. You can read more about the benefits of Chia Seeds in this article.

The thing I always forget when making my chia pudding is the ratio 1:3. Chia seed pudding ratio is 1 cup of liquid to 3 TBSP of chia seeds. Once you remember the chia seed pudding ratio you can focus all of your energy on what fun toppings and add in’s your bowl (or jar) of chia goodness is getting that day.

This chia seed pudding recipe is what I use as a basis for my breakfasts. I prep a jar quick before leaving for work throwing in different fruits, some flax seed and different nut butters. I love this recipe because it only takes about a minute or two to throw together and once you know the chia seed pudding ratio you don’t have to worry about finding the recipe again. It’s yummy, it’s simple, and its healthy – what else could you ask for.
