Does one really need an excuse to incorporate chocolate into breakfast? This chocolatey & creamy oatmeal is perfect for a chilly winter morning, so pretty much my life for the next 3 months. Not only was this vegan friendly breakfast so delicious I had to share but it is packed with protein.
To make these oats I put my chocolate Vega protein powder in my oatmeal. It gives it a great chocolate flavor and is a great option for breakfast instead of a protein shake. If you are looking to start your day out with a little more protein this is a yummy & simple breakfast.
In small saucepan heat milk & add oats, making sure to mix occasionally. After about 5 minutes or right before oatmeal has reached desired consistency mix in flaxseed & protein powder. Put oatmeal in a bowl and top with dried cherries, sliced almonds and spoonful of almond butter. Enjoy!Chocolate Almond Protein Oatmeal
