This Oreo Truffle Recipe only uses a few ingredients to create a decadent chocolatey treat. Chocolate lovers this one’s for you!
Oreo’s, one of Americas favorite cookies, does not list eggs, milk or butter in the ingredients making it a happily accidental vegan cookie. Combine Oreo’s and coconut cream to form a delicious truffle base and finish off by coating in vegan chocolate. The directions on this recipe are fairly easy although a tad time consuming BUT worth every heavenly bite in the end. If you are looking for a healthy treat this isn’t the recipe for you check out my Cookies & Cream Protein Balls instead. Sometimes you just have to splurge on a sweet treat and trust me this is the one to do it on. Each truffle is small enough that you can enjoy it with no worries of over indulging. Caution as eating them all will be tempting, they are that delicous.
I keep my Oreo Truffles stored in the freezer and pop one out (letting it sit at room temp for about 20 minutes) anytime I need a sweet little treat. These would be great to have for a party or holiday as you can decorate with sprinkles or other colored candies. I highly suggest you store in the refrigerator so they do not melt. If you do not eat within 1 week store them in the freezer.
