Being vegan for 5 years I have learned my way around the various grocery stores in my area and there a just a few products that are just so much easier to purchase online. Check out these products that are perfect to have stocked in your vegan pantry. Sometimes it just makes more sense to buy certain things online if you don’t live near a health food store or like a few of these products they just aren’t commonly stocked.
Nutritional Yeast – nutritional yeast is a great product to have on hand in a vegan kitchen. Used to give a cheesy flavor it is great for making cheese sauce, flavoring tofu scramble and more.
Black Salt – also known as Kala Namak is one product I could never find in grocery stores. You will want this to give your tofu scramble that eggy taste.
Soy Curls- these meat alternative are made from dehydrated soy and are a great shelf stable staple to have on hand. Use soy curls to make bbq, tacos, stir frys and more.
TVP- similar to soy curls TVP or textured vegetable protein is made from soy. Use TVP like you would ground meat in chili, taco meat and more. I love that it is shelf stable and so easy to make.
Broth Base- having chicken & beef flavored vegan broth base saves you from buying veggie broth each week at the store. Plus they make for a great soup, stew & sauce base and are vegan! I love that they last me a long time and I don’t have to worry about having vegan chicken stock on hand.
Vegan Cheese Sauce- having a powdered vegan cheese sauce can be a lifesaver to have on hand when you need to make something quick.
Miso Paste- great for making miso soup or using in sauces to get that umami flavor.
Agar Agar – this product is a gelatin substitute. Use agar agar to make cheese, jelly, marshmallows and more.
Egg Replacer- this is a nice product to have if you do a lot of baking to easily substitute eggs in your recipes
Vegan Worcestershire Sauce- nice to have this vegan version on hand if you have a recipe that calls for it.
Vegan Fish Sauce- If you like to cook asian dishes having a vegan fish sauce is great to have on hand when making sauces.
Tell us below in the comments what vegan products you usually buy online.
